Managing Your Energy
Rythmns, Patterns & Cycles
Provides you with HELP!
A recent study from McGill University in Canada, shows a definite rhythm of behaviour that shifts from Monday to Friday. Each day is definitely not the same as the next. Workers tend to be more demanding, aggressive and task-focused earlier in the week and more submissive and open to negotiation as the weekend approaches! Knowing how people are most likely to behave and when, can help you schedule your week in the optimal way. It will help you balance
how you react and
when to be more pro-active.
At Harmony, it goes much much further than that - we show you how you can find out more about your own rhythms and cycles. How to increase and maintain your vitality, manage those 60,000 thoughts a day (we all have on average around 60,000 thoughts) so they don't overwhelm you and are more positive than negative. And ensure you maintain your own self confidence, self expression and self protection, whatever level you function in the workplace hierarchy. Most important of all, ensure you don't succumb to the recently identified 'leisure sickness' at the weekend. This syndrome, recently identified by Dutch psychologist ,Professor Ad Vinghoets, of Tilburg University, strikes down workers who manage high stress through the week, only to succumb to illness at the weekend or on holidays. Interestingly, Vingerhoets confirmed something we, at Harmony, have known from 11 years of working with LifeWORKS, that the people who had suffered from 'leisure sickness' in the past but who weren't affected by it now, were those who reduced their workload or
changed their attitude to work, and were
attentive to signals that told them they needed to slow down.
Our approach is practical, and protective and provides you with tools you can put in place immediately at your work and in your personal life. It really is - Your LIfe and Your Choice!
